Emma Thorne is a jewellery tutor, designer, and maker based in Hertfordshire. She trained at The University of Hertfordshire, where she went on to teach their Open Studies jewellery evening class for many years before setting up, and running workshops from her Hitchin based studio. 

 

Inspired by her rural surroundings and a love of asymmetrical forms she produces collections of jewellery exploring the compatability of different metals and surface textures. Precious and semi precious stones are selected to compliment and enhance the qualities of the metal and design of each piece.

 

Her most recent collection uses 18ct red and yellow gold with sterling silver and a colourful collection of beautiful stones.

 

Emma also works on personalised pieces for individual commission.
